Frequently Asked Questions - GENERAL

Yes, we stitch ethnic wear from scratch, made entirely to your measurements. That ranges from everyday salwar kameez to Anarkalis, lehengas, saree blouses, ghararas and full bridal outfits, all made at our DIP 1 studio.

We make most South Asian and fusion ethnic garments: salwar kameez and churidar suits, Anarkalis, lehenga choli, saree blouses, ghararas, shararas, kurtis, kaftans and full bridal sets. Both everyday and occasion wear are stitched to your exact measurements.

Yes, bring a reference photo, screenshot or Pinterest image and we'll recreate the design to your measurements. We'll also be honest with you about how the look will translate to your body shape, since a design styled on one figure or an AI-generated image doesn't always sit the same way in real life. Where it helps, we suggest small adjustments so the finished piece actually flatters you.

Yes, bring a garment you love and we can replicate or adapt its pattern in new fabric. This is a popular option for recreating a well-fitting blouse, kameez or gown.

Custom stitching is made to your exact measurements and chosen design, so the fit, length and detailing suit your body and taste unlike standard ready-made sizing. This matters most for fitted ethnic styles and occasion wear.

FABRIC, MEASUREMENTS & FITTINGS

You can bring your own fabric, and we can also help you source suitable fabric, lining and trims. For embellished or pre-worked fabric - sequins, zardozi, heavy embroidery - bring it in so we can plan the cutting around the design.

We take detailed body measurements at your first visit and schedule one or more fittings before final delivery. Fittings let us perfect the drape, neckline and fit, which is especially important for fitted silhouettes like Anarkalis and blouses.

Most new ethnic garments include one to two fittings as standard, with bridal and heavily structured pieces having more.

Yes, we regularly handle delicate silks, nets, organza and heavily embellished fabric, cutting and finishing around existing embroidery and beadwork. Mention the fabric type when you enquire so we can plan the work properly.

Yes, ethnic garments are finished with appropriate linings, secure fastenings and hand-finishing where it matters, such as hemlines, hooks and embellishment placement. The interior finish is built to last, not just the outside.

SPECIFIC GARMENTS

Yes, we stitch custom saree blouses matched to your saree, including padded, boned, backless and designer-neck styles. Bring the saree and any existing blouse so we can match fabric and plan the design.

Yes ofcourse, we stitch Anarkalis and floor-length ethnic gowns with proper flare, lining and fall. We can adjust the panels, kali count and length to suit your height and the occasion.

Yes, ghararas, shararas and palazzo-style ethnic sets are part of our regular work. We can recreate a reference design or modify the flare, length and waist to your preference.

Yes, salwar kameez, churidar and straight-cut suits are stitched to measure in your chosen neckline, sleeve and length. Bring or choose your fabric and we'll tailor the fit and finishing to you.

Yes, bridal is one of our most detailed services, handled from start to finish. We begin with a consultation to discuss your design, fabric and the overall look you want, and we can source everything for you, main fabric, laces, linings and trims. Custom embroidery is available too, with the exact motifs and placement agreed during that consultation. From there we do an initial trial fitting and then complete the final finishing, so the piece is exactly right before it's delivered. Because bridal involves several fittings, book your consultation 1 to 2 months in advance.

TIMING & PRICING

A standard salwar kameez or blouse typically takes 5 days to 1 week, while detailed pieces like lehengas, Anarkalis and bridal wear need 1 to 2 weeks. Timelines depend on design complexity, embellishment and the number of fittings.

Yes, rush stitching is available for many garments depending on our current schedule and the design. Contact us with your event date and we'll confirm whether express delivery is possible.

Pricing depends on the garment, fabric, lining and the amount of detailing or hand-finishing involved. Share a photo and your fabric details for an accurate quote, a simple kurti and a fully lined bridal lehenga sit at very different price points.

Oh yes, and FYI, Eid, Diwali, Karvachauth, weddings, engagements and party wear are among our busiest services. Order early during peak seasons so we can secure your delivery date.
